Cheyenne Creek Club Goals

Students will:

1. Become familiar with terms such as non-point source pollution, watershed, flow, biodiversity and titration.

2. Regularly observe and record changes in their local aquatic habitat and the Cañon riparian zone.

3. Learn scientific methods for gathering water quality data and reporting it to D.O.W. and others.

4. Develop an awareness of and concern for water conservation and environmental issues, and become community activists for watershed education and protection.

5. Apply basic math algorithms and problem solving methods to gather, analyze and report data.

6. Identify characteristics needed to keep a thriving aquatic environment in a riparian zone such as Cheyenne Canyon.

7. Clean up trash and maintain healthy suburban riparian zone and trout habitat in and around Cheyenne Creek.
