2008 Kindergarten Roundup Information
Beginning Tuesday, February 19, 2008 District 12 resident parents of students who will be 5-years-old by October 1, 2008 may pick up a kindergarten registration packet at the District 12 Administration Office, 1775 LaClede Street, or can call the District 12 office at 475-6100 to request a packet be sent to them in the mail.
The annual Kindergarten Round-Up will take place during the first week of March in the Community Room of the District 12 Administration Office. It is at this time that parents will hand in kindergarten registration packets previously received.
Parents of students whose last name begins with the letters A - L are asked to drop off their completed kindergarten packet on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 between 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. or from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. The office will be closed between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Parents of students whose last name begins with the letters M - Z are asked to drop off their completed kindergarten packet on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 between 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. or from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. The office will be closed between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
If parents are unable to drop off their completed kindergarten packet on either of these two scheduled days, they may do so on Thursday, March 6, 2008 between 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Students will not be assigned to specific schools until Kindergarten Round-up has been completed. Parents will be notified of school assignment by March 14, 2008.
District 12 kindergarten registration requirements include:
1. A completed kindergarten registration packet
2. Proof of residency (one of the following): warranty deed, bill of sale, settlement statement from closing, signed contract with closing date, current signed rental agreement
3. Birth certificate (must be 5-years-old on or before October 1, 2008)
4. Immunization record
5. Special education IEP (if applicable)
Student registrations will NOT be processed if any of the required documents are missing.
