Dear Parents:
It was great seeing all the artists and proud artist parents at CME’s first ever Art Sow on Thursday night. With budget cuts surrounding us, we are so lucky to have such great art, music, and PE programs for our students.
- May 5, Monday – Bodyology Field Trip 8:45 – 1:00
- May 16 – 2nd grade field/play day
- May 20 – Last Black Bear lunch for 100 point Reading Counts (cutoff 5/16)
- May 23 – 9 – 11 am, breakfast and fun at the Fireman’s Park. School
dismisses at 11:30.
Academic Update:
Literacy – realistic fiction, syllables –tion, -ture; drawing conclusions, summary, using commas in a series, cursive handwriting, main idea and supporting details, writing paragraphs, writing narrative stories, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension
Spelling – Go to www.cmsd12.org, click on CME, click on Classes and Programs, click on Poole, and then on homework.
Math – Chapter 12 – understanding multiplication and division
Social Studies/Science – Our Nation/Health
