Message from the Principal

                                                                                                                                                     8/27/10

Dear CME Families,

Welcome officially to the start of the 2009/2010 school year!  It has been a
privilege to meet many of you over the past few weeks and to daily spend time
getting to know your children.  The CME community has been so welcoming,
and it is an honor to be part of such a dedicated group of parents and staff who
daily partner together to ensure nothing but success for all our students.

We would like to also welcome several new staff members to our CME family
this year. In Kindergarten, we have Ms. Jenelle Reid who joins us from
District 11.  Our Spanish teacher, Ms. Hope Gill, is an international traveler
who brings us experience from all corners of the globe.  We also have several
exceptional teachers who have joined us from other District 12 schools.  From
our neighbor school, Pinon Valley, we have Mrs. Shelly Peterson (Music), Mrs.
Linda Bayles (English Language Acquisition), Mrs. Laura Cipiti (Gifted and
Talented) and Mrs. Peggy Alpeter (Band).  From Canon Elementary, we have
Ms. Candace Riggleman (6th grade) and Ms. Karen Scott (Counselor) joining
our team.  Finally, our last outstanding new staff member to introduce, Mrs.
Karen Baertlein (3rd grade) comes from Skyway Elementary.

The upcoming month is filled with many exciting events for our students and
parents so please be sure to check out the many opportunities mentioned in
our newsletter and on our school’s website. One such event is our Back to
School Night on Tuesday, September the 1st from 6:00-7:30pm. This night is an
opportunity for parents to visit their child’s classroom and to listen as teachers
explain classroom procedures, schedules, grading policies and so much more.
For Back to School Night, we encourage you to attend without your children.
This event is planned specifically for you and will allow you time to ask your
questions regarding curriculum, classroom practices, etc.

CME families, thank you for an outstanding start to the school year! I am so
excited about the endless possibilities that this year will bring for all our
students.

Sincerely,

Eric Paugh
CME Principal
