The Library Media Center is open every school day from 7:15-3:00. We serve, first and foremost, our students and staff. We are happy to also provide services to other district patrons whenever possible.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to assure that students and staff become discriminating and aggressive consumers of information, and also life-long learners and readers. To accomplish these goals we seek to provide access to the highest quality materials appropriate for the curriculum, different modalities, abilities and skill levels, and to teach the process of becoming information literate. That is, the ability to assess a situation, determine information needs, locate appropriate information sources, evaluate information, and apply it.
Service Opportunities
Adult helpers are needed to keep the library media program running. Help is needed with daily operational tasks such as entering materials into the computer system, processing materials for circulation, repairing damaged materials, circulating materials, printing and distributing overdue notices, making posters, setting up displays, etc. If you would like to help, call the librarian and let her know when you are available.
