I can be reached via phone before and after school, and sometimes at lunch. My extension is #19 if you get into the answering system.
I can also be reached via e-mail. In an efffort to control spam, staff e-mail addresses are not published on our websites, but it is listed in the the school directory you should have received, and is available on request if you don't already have it.
Homework
Homework will come home on most weeknights. The nightly homework will be notated in the student planner. Children will have math homework on most nights, as well as one library notebook assignment each week. Occasionally, additional homework assignments are sent home to supplement specific classroom lessons.
Challenge homework will also be sent home periodically. The challenge pages are optional and may require parent assistance. The challenge pages may be done in addition to, not in place of, the regularly assigned work.
Of course, your child should be spending at least 15-20 minutes a day reading “just right” books.
Missing Assignments
If a student misses school, they will have one day for every day absent, starting the day after their return, to make up the work.
Planners
Daily planners are expected to be filled out every day by students. Parents should check the planner and sign it each night.
