Homework
Homework is assigned on Mondays and is due on Fridays unless otherwise indicated. Students should have no more than 15 minutes of homework each night. Usually no homework is required on weekends. Spelling tests are given on Friday. Please read to/with your child for 20 minutes daily, including the Phonics minibooks which are sent home weekly along with the Family Times activities. There are also beneficial activities that can be completed at home, with or without help from parents or older siblings. Some of these activities include reading, practice on math skills, etc.
Please discuss work missed due to illness, travel, etc. with the teacher to avoid gaps in learning.
