Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader is a program based on the fact that students become more motivated to read if they are tested on the content of the books they have read and are rewarded for correct answers.  Students read each book, take a test on the computer, then receive gratification when they score well.  In addition, some teachers require students to have AR points as a part of their class grade.

If you would like to download a copy of the list of AR quizzes we have available in pdf format, click on one of the following links (please note you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to view these files):

Students may take quizzes on any of the titles in the list.  Our library owns most of the books that correspond with the quizzes.  If we do not have the book, the public library is a very good source.  It is best for students to take the quiz as soon as possible after finishing a book as this gives them a better chance to answer all of the questions correctly.
