Dear Piñon Valley Families,
This has been a great year and I would like to thank each of you for all of your support and encouragement. This year was successful because of the team we have at Piñon Valley. Staff, parents, students, and administration have all worked collectively for a positive educational experience. Thank you!
The end of the year also brings change. As you know I will be leaving Piñon at the end of this school year. Even though I am very excited about my new position, I will miss all of you tremendously. Please know that the students at PVE are very special to me. As of next year we will be a two round school, (two classrooms at each grade level), with the exception of fifth grade. Currently we know that Laura Dobler (sixth grade) will be moving to fifth grade next year. Also, we currently have a kindergarten position that is open and we hope to fill it very soon. If there are any other changes over the summer, the new principal will let everybody know of them in the Back to School newsletter this August.
Change is always difficult. As much as the children are looking forward to the end of the school year, the end is still difficult. Remember that the foundations that the children built here, and the friendships that were started here will last a lifetime for many of them. Your child’s potential is limitless. Please enjoy your summer break and the time you can spend with your family. Time is so precious so savor each and every minute. I have truly enjoyed my six years here at PVE. All of you will forever hold a special place in my heart. Have a great summer!
